Happy 8months old,Ryan Raffael! My baby is growing so fast!!It seems like just yesterday I brought him home from the hospital all cuddled up in his receiving blanket. At the time he was perfectly content to stay snug and secure in mommy and daddy's arms.
He is now entering the life of bumps, falls and bruises! He bumped his head on the wall,on the floor..As the months go by that contentment begins to exhibit a bit of restlessness, I finds that he gets focused and intent on exploring the world around him. He's not yet at a point of independence where he can navigate him way across the room yet, but isn't completely satisfied with the view around him, he wants to see more! In reaction, he begins to rock back and forth, or inches across the floor and before we know it, he's proudly pulled himself up to a standing positing (while desperately clinging to a piece of sliding door) and he turns and looks at us shines with pride. He is able to pull himself up since early 6months old.
And today, Ryan stood unaided and without holding on to anything for a few minutes.Risau gak, takut terhantuk. But it hapens few times. He fell of the bed last month. He cried for a minute! We went for checked up and thank God nothing happen.Just a small bruise on his forehead. He’s been cruising a small step from one place to another, he wanted to let go of his hands to walk for few seconds. Soon thereafter, "cruising" will begin. Cruising occurs when Ryan begins to navigate the room and goes on quests to travel to places afar (just imagine how far the diameter of my living room must look to him!) That proud grin from pulling up may be replaced by an expression of pure determination as my baby becomes acutely aware of his mobility and budding skills. Ryan will focus on this navigation and look to discover ways to effectively get to the other side of the room by holding onto objects such as sofas, chairs, tables and other various types of furniture, sliding door or even people! Mommy and daddy's legs are a perfect grasping point if there are no other furniture pieces in the direction he want to head. He is also able to pull himself up from a sitting positon(Pumping Style)without holding onto anything and stand. He knows how to bend his knees and how to sit after standing. He can now signing 'wave bye-bye',''mam'' and 'NO'-To shake his head in refusal also 3 other baby signs. And the most important thing is Ryan has finally says ''Mommy''!
I think there is no specific month when our baby begins to walk.In fact,on average babies walk unaided between 9 and 15 months, and each baby is different. It's possible walking may begin as early as 8-9 months or occur sometime after their first birthday. My opinion is,babies grow rapidly and in so many ways. Some seem to get teeth early, others start to talk, and then there are those who concentrate on learning to walk. All babies are unique and meet milestones at their own pace. If not right now, then soon.
As for me,Ryan's first step is a very memorable day and one to be treasured, and it'll happen when he is ready.Soon... :) Mommy and daddy just cannot wait!!Hehe. Now on,Alhamdullilah Ryan had assess 4 aspects of milestones(Gross motor,Fine motor,Social and Speech plus Hearing) except for understanding command words(vocalize single meaningful words), talking (Such No/Yes/Bye ect)and walking by himself yet.Soon...Watch him grow, yeah!Hahaha.Ok,enough doting my baby Ryan Raffael for today yeah.So ya!
